This Family Portrait session at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan was an absolute blast.
It’s a dream of mine to photograph someone in a desert. There. I’ve said it. So until that perfect person calls inviting me to join them for a wedding or portrait shoot in the Sahara, I will simply enjoy the beauty of the Midwest. Who knew that the closest thing to a desert would be found in the heart of Michigan?!
The Siners are one incredible family, full of life, love and laughter. Every time I photograph them I walk away with a huge smile on my face and a camera full of killer images. Each one of them has enough personality to fill a room, so it’s a good thing we had the wide open vastness of the Silver Lake Sand Dunes as our playground! What adventure will we come up with next year? Who knows, but I guarantee it will be bigger and better.
