Sunrise and Frost | Columbus Portrait Photography

Whenever a grand idea pops into my head, I usually do not slow down long enough to filter it. Instead I instantly proceed to see who wants to jump on board and create something with me. This portrait shoot with the beautiful Taylor was quickly pieced together via Facebook messages. Wardrobe was chosen in a parking lot at the wonderful Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus. And the only thing you will not see pictured in this gallery is the 15 degree weather that Taylor and the team put up with at 7am while I tinkered and toyed with my camera. I forgot to mention that 90% of this was photographed with the Zeiss Otus 85mm… manual focus. For those who know this lens, they understand the beauty, for those who don’t, in a nutshell it’s possibly the best 85mm lens on the market.

The final images are warm and moody, full of emotion and movement. Everything I imagined, and more!
